About the Product
Conductive engineering plastics provide electrostatic discharge (ESD) control or electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding by adding conductive fillers to an insulating polymer matrix, replacing metal parts and adding weight savings and design freedom.
LG Chem's LUCON family is used in electronic component carriers, fuel system parts, automotive electronics housings and industrial applications where static build-up poses a risk.
The conductivity level (surface resistivity) is defined across very different ranges depending on the application — antistatic, dissipative and conductive regions must be considered separately. Clarifying the target resistivity range upfront is the first step in correct grade selection.
