About the Product
Styrenic compounds (ABS, SAN and derivatives) are preferred for parts requiring easy processing, good surface quality and dimensional stability. Being platable and paintable is a significant advantage for visible surface components.
LG Chem's LUPOS family covers a range of styrenic compounds from general purpose types to heat resistant and flame retardant grades. Appliance panels, electronic housings and consumer products are the most common applications.
Styrenic materials are amorphous, so shrinkage rates are low and predictable — an advantage for parts with tight tolerances.
