About the Product
Modified PPO/PPE alloys are among the lowest density groups within engineering plastics and offer outstanding dimensional stability. Absorbing virtually no moisture is a major advantage for tight-tolerance parts and electrical applications.
LG Chem's LUMILOY family, with its halogen-free flame retardant formulations, is particularly preferred in electrical and electronic parts, photovoltaic junction boxes, battery components and parts in contact with water.
The hydrolytic stability of mPPO gives it a clear advantage over polyamides and polyesters in applications exposed to hot water and steam. Its low density can also reduce material cost per part.
