About the Product
Light diffusion materials are developed to convert point-source light into homogeneous surface illumination in LED lighting. The goal is to hide the source points while preserving as much light transmission as possible.
LG Chem's LUMIPLAS family, built on a PC base, combines diffusion performance with the impact strength and thermal stability of polycarbonate. Automotive lighting, LED luminaire diffusers and backlit panels are the main applications.
Diffusion and light transmission work against each other; the right grade must be selected according to the brightness-versus-uniformity balance the application requires. These values are grade specific and defined in the TDS.
