About the Product
PPS (Polyphenylene Sulphide) belongs to the high-performance thermoplastics class and stands out for continuous high-temperature operation, outstanding chemical resistance and inherent flame retardancy. Most grades reach a high flammability rating without additional flame retardant additives.
LG Chem's LUSEP family is developed for applications operating under demanding conditions — automotive engine and fuel system parts, electric vehicle components, pump and valve bodies, electronic connectors.
PPS's very low moisture uptake and ability to hold tight dimensional tolerances are decisive when replacing metal parts. As it requires high processing temperatures, tooling and machine suitability should be assessed upfront.
